My lovely Grandad, I struggle to believe you are no longer here and miss you incredibly. You lit up a room with your humour and never failed to make anyone laugh. We had some lovely adventures over the years across several National Trust sites and a pub lunch or two. Thank you for spoiling me rotten, as always. I loved hearing about your life stories, that is, if we weren't interrupted in a pub by someone saying "Ray.. good god, is that you!". At times it was like walking with a celebrity. I will remember our last conversation and how even in a time of difficulty you could still put a smile on my face and I will always cherish that. The outpour of love and kind words from your Friends and Family alike is a testament to the wonderful person you were and they are a comfort to read at a time like this. I was a chapter of your book but you were the whole of mine; I will endure a lifetime of missing you for the privilege of being your Grandaughter.. and what a privilege it was. Love and miss you always, India x
